How far in advance should I book a tent rental?

We recommend booking 4–8 weeks in advance for weddings and large events, especially during peak season from May through October. For smaller backyard rentals — graduations, birthdays, anniversaries — we can often accommodate requests with just 1–2 weeks of notice, depending on availability. The earlier you book, the wider your selection of tent sizes and styles.

What areas do you serve?

Action Events serves Wilmington, Newark, New Castle, Middletown, Smyrna, Dover, Townsend, and surrounding areas across northern and central Delaware. We are based at 818 S. Heald Street in Wilmington. Delivery is included within our standard service area; longer-distance jobs can usually still be accommodated for a small additional travel fee.

Do you deliver, set up, and break down the tent?

Yes — full-service delivery, setup, and breakdown is included with every tent rental. Our team handles the staking, raising, leveling, and dismantling. You don’t need to lift a thing or rent additional equipment to assemble the tent yourself.

What sizes of tents do you rent?

We offer tents ranging from compact 10×10 frame tents — ideal for small backyard gatherings or vendor booths — up to 40×80 pole tents that can seat 200+ guests for weddings and corporate events. Common sizes include 20×20 (40 guests seated), 20×40 (80 guests seated), 30×60 (180 guests seated), and larger.

What’s included with a tent rental?

Every tent rental includes delivery, setup, leveling, and breakdown. Optional add-ons include sidewalls (clear or solid), tent flooring, string lighting, chandeliers, fans, heaters, draping, and uplighting. We also rent tables, chairs, linens, dance floors, and full place-setting tableware separately or as part of complete event packages.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes — we require a 50% deposit at the time of booking to reserve your date and equipment, with the remaining balance due before the event delivery. We accept credit and debit cards, ACH bank transfer, cash, and check. (Adjust this if your actual policy is different.)

Can I rent tables, chairs, or linens without renting a tent?

Absolutely. We rent tables, chairs, linens, place settings, dance floors, lighting, and accessories à la carte — no tent required. This is a popular option for indoor events, restaurant overflow seating, smaller backyard parties, and corporate functions.

What happens if it rains on my event day?

A tent is the best rain insurance you can buy — most of our customers come to us specifically to keep their event going regardless of weather. We rent solid sidewalls to enclose the tent if needed, and our tents are professionally staked and rated to withstand normal rain and wind. For severe weather warnings, we work with you on rescheduling. (Confirm/adjust per your actual cancellation policy.)

How long can I keep the rental?

A standard rental covers a single event day with delivery the day before and pickup the day after, at no extra charge. Multi-day and weekend rentals are available — just ask when requesting your quote.
